HAH, this is an easy one to answer. Da Da Da, the girls are coached and coached and coached.  They know EXACTLY what to say and when to say it.  Did yo ever notice that when yo ask them why they are looking for a foreign man, the universal answer is "Ukrainian men are abusive and all they want to do is drink beer and watch football (soccer)".  The girls maintain that all Ukrainian men have multiple girlfriends too. 

I know a LOT of Ukrainian men - both here and in Ukraine.  I would not say that there is much truth to the above situations.  However, there is a favorable ratio of women to men (favorable for men).  There does appear to be a culture tendency for men to have mistresses. It is almost acceptable to women.

The important thing here is that we speak with many men and women from foreign countries.  We listen to them.  We also help the girls find men!  We help them know which men are serious and which ones are married, flirting or just looking for sex (doesn't make them bad people - LOL).  The serious and legitimate girls ask us a lot of questions. Don't Believe the Photos of Online Foreign Brides!!!!

We have taken some time to review and change our business structure after many clients asked for different assistance. We will be offering more trips and personalized service to clients who desire that. We have found that when we go to a foreign country with you, there is a much higher probability of success.

One of the things that we have wanted to talk about is the astounding amount of fraud and misrepresentation by the girls with respect to the girls' profile photos. Many online photos have been edited and altered.  The girls and their agency managers and others have become adapt at utilizing editing software (frequently referred to as PhotoShop which is now part of the Adobe platform).

Many men have commented that they were disappointed when they traveled thousands of miles only to find out that the girl was materially different than advertised. Yes, the girls complain about this too and men should not misrepresent themselves. However, the men have significant financial interest buy the time they travel to meet a girl.  Our experience is that some active girls on foreign dating sites are as much as 6 inches shorter than advertised; 30-40 pounds different than advertised and even many situations in which a girl stated that she had no children when in fact they have children.  They will claim that the profile was created when she had not children and it was not updated. The only thing that is accurate MOST of the time is the birthday and year of birth.

Below is an example of photo editing. This girl is currently on HotRussianBrides.com . I am not stating that there is fraud here, but caveat emptor certainly prevails. One of the concerning features of this profile is that the girl indicates that she has no children when clearly she does. We have contacted HotRussianBrides.com and reported this. Perhaps they will take action but it is unlikely since the biggest problem is that the photos are accurate (albeit disturbing).

Awesome Quote from History!

I am frequently astounded that quotes from history...quotes that may have been made hundreds of years ago, are still true today (if not truer today). I was watching a history program on late night cable and there was a quote from Thomas Jefferson that rally caught my attention.  Mr. Jefferson stated: “My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.” 

How did he know this type of thing? How could they be so acutely aware of the affect of anything on the future. I suppose that some things are fundmanetal and apparently, Mr Jerfferson stated this after reading history. Perhaps we all need to read a little more history.

An Important Update on Facebook Privacy

I have never been a particular fan of Facebook. They do not respect privacy and they allow politics to interfere in the social networking sphere and there is no place for this in their reality.. They are allowed to do things with information that you are not allowed to do…adding to my disdain for them. True, they have SOME usefulness and hence, Facebook must be tolerated to some degree. You have all seen the Facebook ads that show us an image of one of our friends and notify us that this particular friend likes some particular brand or product.  However, were you aware that these images could not only be used to endorse products that you have already “liked,” but also those that have nothing whatsoever to do with you AND without your providing any permission other than simply using Facebook?

Facebook recently settled a class action lawsuit regarding this practice. The settlement and resulting privacy-policy “clarifications” actually just make the practice legitimate. According to Facebook’s revised privacy policy, “you give us permission to use your name, profile picture, content, and information in connection with commercial, sponsored, or related content…served or enhanced by us…without any compensation to you.” WHAT????? This means Facebook can use your images basically anywhere, at any time, and for any reason.

The class-action lawsuit was brought by a man whose wife’s image was used in this manner to advertise a “hot singles” service, but despite the fact that Facebook ultimately settled, the judge who approved the settlement even said that “it is far from clear [that the plaintiffs] could ever have shown they were actually harmed in any meaningful way.” The only way to opt out of this term of use is to quit Facebook completely. Facebook has also received criticism lately for another relatively new feature that takes facial recognition to a new level in order to suggest tagging options for pictures. Not to mention that htis comes from a paragon of privacy protection, ABC News LOL Be forewarned!!!

How Accurate are International Online Dating Profiles

Many men complain about deception and deceptive practices in the quest to meet and marry foreign women and brides. Deception can be a commonly occurring issue with international internet dating. I have to laugh when the major websites CLAIM that they do all that they can to prevent deceptive practices!!! 

No one wants to waste their time on someone who‘s not even available for a serious relationship. The foreign brides are often required to complete a video validation procedure (frequently referred to as an "attestation").

The foreign brides read and sign an attestation document, and they affirm their statements on video.  promise They further state that they are on the website with honest intentions of developing a meaningful relationship or marriage. They also agree to follow the Terms of Use, which require all profile information to be true, including marital status.

This all sounds GREAT!! However...this is not commonly followed by the websites and the fraud lies in the AGENCIES..and not the websites.  The AGENCIES create the videos and attestations.  Many Ukrainian and Russian brides have as many as THREE passports!! In fact, because of language translation issues (all passports are also translated into English) the Russian brides and foreign wives are allowed THREE mistakes on a passport!!!

The ONLY aspect of a passport that is universally correct is the AGE! Marital status is NOT on an international passport!!!

The next concern that men have is being deliberately deceived by fictitious profile pictures. The men worry that a foreign bride looks too good to be true.  Look CLOSELY at the photos....frequently, you will find one that appears to be a different girl or yo will find one that is the girl without extensive photo shop treatments. The agencies are MASTERS at deception and photo shoots and photo shop are no exceptions!!

Many men rarely believe the age a woman lists on her profile because they are known to often lie about it. Lying about age is another issue that frightens single men. My own sister indicates that it is a woman's prerogative to lie about her age!!!! As I mentioned, age is about the ONLY thing that is accurate about a lot of the profiles.

A foreign bride's age is easily verified and there is not reason to worry about that issue.

When can you expect affection from your Russian bride? HAH, GOOD question and it is not an easy one to answer because there are cultural, religious and logistical issues.

Options to Find Love Online

There are only two basic options to find love online.  The first option is traditional dating websites such as Eharmony.com and Match.com. The second are international websites such as Anastasiadate.com and HotRussianBrides.com. There are advantages and disadvantages to both options.

How Well Do Ukrainian Girls Speak English?

How well do Ukrainian girls speak English? This is a tough one.  At first glance  it appears that very few of them speak much English.  When you review the major dating websites such as HotRussianBrides.com, Anastasia Date.com or Dream-Marriage.com, it would appear that most girls are a beginner. Some of the websites allow the agencies to determine English proficiency while others allow the girl to state her proficiency.

This issue is REALLY important because it is exponentially more difficult to forge a relationship when the girl does not speak English.  Sure, there are "language barrier" issues but there are also translator issues.  Remember, the translators work for the agency and the agency DOES want you to meet girls because the SINGLE BIGGEST SOURCE OF REVENUE for the agencies is introduction fees. Why so they Understate their English Proficiency?

Most Ukrainian girls are embarrassed to show how little English they know and they are somewhat afraid to speak English because they want to understand and communicate. Another reason is that the girls are rusty. They do not get to speak English very often.  You will find that they speak much better than you originally think and that they improve QUICKLY with some practice.

Another reason that they underestimate their English proficiency is that they are more comfortable being on a date with someone from their agency. They know the translator and they are comfortable with her (I have yet to see a male translator in an agency).

An additional reason that is troublesome, is that the girls want a translator because they frequently get a piece of the translation fee!!  I am reminded of a day in Odessa when a girl did not want to go one a date because she would only "earn" $10 (her cut of the translation fee). By the time they got through with the date, the girl made about $40 because of the taxi scam and restaurant scam.  That is good pay in Ukraine.

In Russia, English is routinely taught in elementary school. It is not routinely taught in Ukraine elementary schools.

What to Look For in a Russian Bride...

First and foremost, Happy Memorial Day to everyone!! My dad served as a Marine on Iwo Jima and he survived (he was in the third wave). This holiday is about a lot more than hot dogs and parades. Hug a Vet..they are the reason that we have freedom (for as long as we still have it)!!

We touched on some of the warning signs to determine whether your Russian bride is sincere..I thought that it is a good time to talk about the single biggest thing that you should look for from your Russian bride.  The ONE thing that should be non-negotiable for you is CONSISTENCY.  This issue includes inconsistency as a possible deal breaker.

It is imperative that you look for consistency in your Russian bride. Consistency will ferret out some of the less sincere girls. Look for consistency on multiple levels.  Does she follow up on things that she says that she will do (be online at a certain time for example).  Does she remember things about your life (such as a birthday)? Does she remember and discuss topics that you spoke about in a prior chat (vacation plans, events etc)? 

"Consistency" also is an indication of insincerity. Is your Russian bride ALWAYS online? Be careful with this one guys, the agencies employ "hacker" software that enables a profile to appear to be online in order to get interest from guys..when a man requests chat the profile beeps and any girl that is working in the agency will jump on the profile to chat!  I have seen this with my own eyes....5, 6 girls hanging out in the kitchen (wow, what a surprise huh?) and then the software beeps and they RUN to the work stations..first one to the profile gets to chat (and earn money). 

 Is your Russian bride constantly sending out form letters?

One piece of advice that I give is to have a slightly different name for yourself  than your profile name.  For example, my full name is Padraic but I am referred to as "Paddy". If a girl knows me and she sends a letter to "Padraic" it is spam from the agency and I do not reply. I also change the city in my profile from where I actually live.  When you see letters that ask how you are doing in Chicago but you really live in Milwaukee, you will know which letters are spam this way too. Many websites such as HotRussianBrides requires that you utilize your legal name and this is an opportunity to use a differnt name in chat and letters..."John" can easily become "Johnny or Jack"

Guys, do not ignore the warning signs!!  If you see a consistent pattern of inconsistency...RUN!!! These girls are well trained and they are professionals at bilking you so you need to learn how to identify the sincere Russian brides.

ACCESS to your Russian Bride!

There is a sound business principle that I embraced many years ago. It is referred to as "Superior Access Vehicle". I heard a lot about this from Jay Abraham and Chet Holmes (God rest his soul). I have had the pleasure of collaborating with these gentlemen on projects.  Superior Access is a business theory that suggests that consumers will pay additional money for "superior access" to something. An example would be paying $75 for a concert ticket but also be willing to pay and extra $200 for a back-stage pass.

Millions of men are online to find Russian brides. This is no secret!! There are literally thousands of websites to facilitate this desire. I have yet to find one website for Slavic men to meet American women (OUCH-LOL). The truth hurts sometimes!

These sites offer a modicum of "superior access". They have multiple levels of membership options and you pay for additional services.  They also promote tours that are the equivalent of an eighth grade dance meets circle jerk!! They also allow you to pay a fee (typically $100) to get personal contact information on the Russian bride.  Is this REALLY superior access"?  The answer is No, Nyet, Nein!!

First of all, most Russian brides do not have an email address. If they do, it is frequently monitored by the dating agency.  Many have cell phones but the phones are either owned by the agency or the agency provides a second phone for the Russian bride to utilize to communicate with website contacts.  In fact, more often than not, you are not actually speaking to the Russian bride...you are probably speaking to a translator when you call!!

Many Russian brides utilize social networking sites to communicate. This replaces an email address. The most popular is VK (vKohntakte - "in contact").   The problem here is that the agencies either "own" the lady's profile or they control it via log in information.  They monitor the site to see if the lady is communicating with Western men.

For some reason, the girls live in fear of the agencies and we will explain this phenomenon in future blogs. Guys, wake up and realize that you do not have the access to girls that you think that you do and in most instances, you are not actually speaking with the Russian bride.

Every time that we hold such events, the UKRAINIAN men ask us how we meet such beautiful women. They are never hostile..they genuinely want to know how we are able to meet Russian brides and have them clamoring to date US!! I have heard many times, from many dating gurus such as Chet Rowland, Dave D'Angelo and others comment that "women are the same everywhere". I can agree to that in part...certainly some things apply to most women.  However, Ukrainian woman and Russian brides are VERY different and unless or until you understand and appreciate this...you will get NOWHERE with them!! Russian brides are VERY different from American woman. One small but significant example is that American women view compliments as a sign of weakness - that you have no game.  The Waschlappen guys that incessantly compliment American women get met with yawns and cha - ching, NO SALE!!

It is pretty well known that many agencies in Ukraine have girls that are not on the dating websites. Sometimes they are referred to as "ringers". This implies that the agency only offers them to men when the men travel to Ukraine and appear to be of significant income.  Guys, you do not want to meet a "ringer".  These girls know every trick in the book and they typically are earning a split on what they can get out of the "taxi scam", "translator scam", "restaurant scam" and others.  These girls are pros at it and they will deceive you in ways that you cannot imagine.

We are frequently asked if we have girls that are not on the website.

The answer is yes...but we have a good reason for it. Some of our girls are professional models and beauty queens. While they aspire to be your Russian bride, they are prohibited from posting photos in the public domain. We have added a "members only" section to accommodate this. Members will be able to view and meet these girls.  We have to respect their need for privacy and in most cases, they are contractually prohibited from posting photos on the internet.  One of our girls is a top international model and another is a former Miss Teen Ukraine.

Other girls have had bad experiences on traditional international dating websites and they have asked us to respect their privacy. They inherently trust Ken Sartain, the staff and I but they are living in a fear-based society and it is best to protect their privacy as much as possible. These girls are some of the most sincere and "down to earth"  girls that you will ever meet.

Russian Brides on Video Is Not ALWAYS as it Appears

Well, our first event has successfully concluded. I can say ONE thing for certain: the Russian Brides now know what we go through in order to get to Ukraine!!!  We are hearing of stories of sleeping for two days after they arrived home!! Ken and I are both in the West coast so we have an extra 5-6 hours when we travel to Ukraine.  You East coast guys have a HUGE advantage!  I am still at a loss to determine why guys from England, Germany and other Western European countries do not visit Ukraine more frequently.

One subject that seems to have stirred up the proverbial hornet's nest of activity is the video chat issue.  Many men erroneously believe that video chat is an assurance that they are in chat with their Russian bride.  It is SOME assurance but let's not place too much emphasis on this. Here is why...

First, there are MANY Russian brides that are VERY adept at video chat. We have personally spoken to girls that can VIDEO chat with FIVE men at a time!!  This certainly affects their SQ (sincerity quotient)!! You can watch their eyes...they rapidly move from left to right and back again as they read multiple messages at the same time.

Watching them type is NOT as useful as you may think!  For one thing, they may be typing to a translator on Skype who is in turn sending the message to you.    Another thing is that frequently the translation programs (most use Google translate) do not adequately translate and the Russian bride must re-type the message. There is also a slight time delay because of poor video chat quality.

As we mentioned in a prior blog, many Russian brides are very well versed in the art of the quick change and altering of appearance.  I have been been thrown off a few times and I know what and how they do this!! They can throw on  wig and change clothes faster than Heidi Klum in her prime!!

We are going to write a lot about chat and video chat because there are a lot of issues relative to this.

Men Just Do Not Believe When We Tell Them about FRAUD!

It is our final day in paradise....Cancun, Mexico. The guys on the trip have learned a LOT and there have been some good connections.  The girls are always curious about what the men can see when they log into the various traditional international dating websites such as Anastasia Date, Hot Russian Brides, Veronika Love etc.

I am sitting at lunch with one of our girls. She was SHOCKED to discover that she has a profile on three websites (in addition to ours)!!  NONE of them are her!!! While we were looking at one of the websites, her profile asked me to chat!!! This has happened many, many times!!!

IF I were to question this with the particular website, the agency would confirm to the website that it was the girl. We know that it wasn't because she is sitting RIGHT NEXT TO ME!!!

Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence. On the legitimate side, translators may log in to download and interpret letters. It may APPEAR that a girl is online when she is not. However, the translators are not supposed to chat. There are also software programs that may invite a man to chat.   More than likely, it was an agency employee that "took over" the profile of a girl who left that site.  There are written policies and contracts that REQUIRE the employees to do this!!! The agencies and translators can make money LONG after the girl is away from the website or MARRIED!!

Some men have mentioned to us that they only video chat!!! Well, guess what!! You STILL may not be chatting with your intended Russian bride!! The translators and agency employees have wigs, outfits etc. I personally have seen agency employees run into the kitchen or bathroom and change clothes and put on a wig and come back as another girl!!

Guys, the level of fraud and deception boggles the mind.  What equally boggles the mind is that SO many men tolerate this!!  Our program enables you to communicate directly with the girl. There is no fraud or deception.  Wake up guys, you are getting RIPPED OFF!!!

Day 4: Mexican Vendors versus Russian Brides!!!

Chichen Itza and Russian Brides....two awesome events in one day!! We scheduled a tour to Chichen Itza. For those that are not familiar, Chichen Itza is the foremost symbol of Mayan culture. There are many mysteries surrounding the demise of Mayan culture but there is no question that Chichen Itza was one of the largest Mayan cities.  It is about a three hour drive from the Fairmont Mayakoba (210 km).

The site is impressive to say the least. There are many remarkably preserved and restored buildings that provide a glimpse into ancient Mayan life.  The seminal building is Temple of Kukulkan. It is also referred to as El Castillo (The castle). This is the pyramid shaped structure that is frequently associated with Mayan ruins. There are two other areas of ancient Mayan ruins that are not far from Cancun. Coba and Tulum are actually closer to Cancun and they may be all toured in one day (with some creative driving and fast walking)!

 It is also astounding the number of vendors that assault you for your money!!  It was interesting that there were many Russian tour groups at Chichen Itza yesterday. This enabled a feeling of being home for the Russian Brides. 

This scenario created an interesting and amusing sideshow!  The battle of the Irresistible Force (Mexican Vendors) versus Russian Brides (born negotiators).  Vegas money would have been on the vendors...hands down. You could have gotten 5 - 2 or better odds in favor of the vendors. Years of experience at their trade and their keen ability to recognize and exploit a "mark" would clearly give them the upper hand!!  Alas NO!!! Vegas odds makers do not know Russian brides!!

Ready for the results?? You can guess the outcome!! At my last count, Russian brides were up 8-1!!!  There was only one instance in which I thought the vendor may have gotten the higher price!! 

All in all it was a great day. We believe that events such as this during our Russian Brides in Paradise Program will be continued as everyone seemed to have a good time!

Another Day in Paradise..Our First Event!!!

Today, I woke up with a festive case of sunburn!!! The kind where even the sheets on the wonderful beds hurt the skin!! So today, we have an event planned for a visit to Mayan ruins. The Russian brides seem very interested in history so we planned this event for them!

Everyone is having an awesome time.,...the girls love the resort, food, sunshine, and crystal clear water (and swimming pools - there are a lot of them here)!!  The guys LOVE being surrounded by beautiful women who are genuinely interested in them!!  We are trying out best to get one guy to remember to stay out of the sun and lower his intensity level. He has loosened up and the girls seem to like him now!!! Really...being a tight ass is rarely attractive to either sex!! The girls and guys seem to love the fitness center too...beautiful facility I might add!! Only one minor incident to report...a scraped knee for Darina C!!! Gotta watch out for the rocks in the water!!

I wanted to mention that we are having an event in Odessa soon too. Keep checking back for details. The event will be in early June at one of the Odessa beach clubs (probably Ibiza or Itaka).  It will be an informal event...just come and hang out with Ken, Paddy and the Ukraine staff. Many girls will be there too. This event is free and informal.  Take this opportunity to meet girls and pick our brains!!

Greetings from Our First Event, Cancun!!!

Planning events are always a challenge!  Our first event was met with some travel related issues but all is well!!!  The weather is amazing in Cancun (hot, but a nice breeze) and the Fairmont Mayakoba has exceeded my expectations.  There is a real possibility that more than one couple will result from this trip!!

I received an email to day from a traditional "Russian Bride" dating site.  It offered a tour of Kiev for $2,500.  Seemed like a decent price until I realized that it included very few meals and NO transportation expense. It is also a pretty short tour when you consider that most western men will travel some distance for this.  There was a lot of "fluff" in the offer. Translator expenses paid - ahhhh, yes, but only during the events!!!  That is a couple of hours per day and not dedicated to any particular men!!  One of the days was a "free day" for shopping etc. Literally translated, this means that you get NOTHING for that day!!  Accordingly, you are now paying for only three days of actual activities.

I tried to inquire about the hotel and other details but I was advised that it will be sent to me in an email (which has not arrived a day later)!  There are very nice hotels in Kiev and there are ones that I would not allow a pet to stay in!! This is IMPORTANT!!

In contrast, our events are much more detailed an purposeful. Our events are in a tropical location at a 4 or 5 star resort.  A TRUE 4 or 5 star resort and not some "flea bag" place that earned its rating in 1957 and has been riding a reputation since then!! We hold events in Caribbean and Pacific locations to accommodate men from all over the globe.  Our ownership and management attend every tour!! you can speak with the owners!! How rare is that!!

We believe, and time will tell us, that we offer the best service and in the best environments!

Tips on How to Know Whether Your Russian Bride is Sincere

Tips on how to know whether your Russian bride is sincere is a bit of a misnomer.  We look for indications that your Russian Bride is NOT sincere.  It is very difficult to know for certain whether a girl is sincere and it is more complicated that you can imagine. We will cover some of this in future Russian bride blog posts.

The first sign of insincerity is when a Russian bride is online more than 1-2 hours per day.  If she is online more than that, she is probably "working". "Working" means that she has a profile on the dating site but she is receiving money from her agency.  You read that correctly.  SURE, all of the websites claim that THEY do not pay the girls but they are all complicit in the fraud because they know that the AGENCIES pay the girls.  The typical, rate is 25% - 50% of what they agency receives for that girl's chat time. This is all diligently tracked by the agencies and the websites.

Accordingly, how much time would a sincere girl spend in chat??  Certainly not more than 1-2 hours per day!!

Another clue that your Russian bride is insincere is if she is in chat from 02:00 AM to 06:00 AM in  Russia or Ukraine time (+8 and +7 hours respectively from NY time). The reason for this is that this is PRIME time for chat in USA.  It is early evening in USA and this is when most American men are in chat. You can interpret this to mean that the agency has told the girls to chat at this time because they will make more money since more men are online. Many agencies have schedules for the girls!!! The best chat girls work from 01:00 AM to 0:800 AM Russia or Ukraine time.

Of course if you ASK the girl why she is awake at this hour...you will receive some lame excuse about bus schedule, or not wanting to leave the agency until morning for safety reasons.
